We don’t have a strict dress policy. We want you to be as comfortable as possible and give you the freedom to wear what you want.

Having a basic understanding of Yoga helps in gaining the most out of our program. However, complete newbies enjoy the freshness of the whole process and bring a new perspective to the program.

A number of our guests are vegan and we keep their principles and requirements in mind while preparing our food. All our meals will have vegan options in them.

We provide three meals each day of the program so that you don’t have to spend any money on food. If you’re in the mood for trying something new, let us know. We’ll try to include that in the next meal.

We have water filters on every floor. You’ll have access to safe drinking water at all times during your stay with us.

If you wish to explore Rishikesh a few days before the program starts, let us know in advance. We will try our best to accommodate you in our facilities. In case, we don’t have any rooms available, we’ll arrange a room for you near our premises.

All rooms are furnished. Our mattresses are softer than usual, keeping in mind the preferences of European and American students. We have geysers installed in every room so that you have access to hot water when you need it. Additionally, we provide you comfy blankets so that you sleep soundly.

The nearest airport to Varkala is Trivandrum International airport. We offer shuttle services upon your arrival from the airport. The exact location of our premises is mentioned on our contact page.

Varkala has a pleasant weather all through the year. You’ll enjoy plenty of sunshine every day with a cool breeze in the evenings. The rainy season begins in June and ends in August. The temperature is between 20 and 35 degree Celsius.

Any messaging app on your phone will allow you to maintain communication with your peers. If you need a SIM card while you’re staying in India, we’ll assist you in getting one.

Of course! I can’t live without WiFi either.

We make sure that you don’t need to spend any money other than your course fee while you’re here. Generally, our students bring $300 with them for miscellaneous expenses but end up spending less than that. If you need to buy some sovereigns for your friends and family, then you can carry more money with you. There are many ATMs in Rishikesh in case you need more.

Most of the students in Varkala are solo female travelers and explorers. They have enjoyed a safe and blissful environment for years with no complaints. If you still feel uneasy to travel around by your self, then we’ll assist you in every way possible to ensure your safety and peace of mind.

No specific vaccinations are required while travelling to Varkala.

There is an amazing hospital nearby. In case you feel any symptoms of illness, we’ll immediately get you treated at the hospital.

Healthcare is pretty cheap in India. Therefore, we don’t advice you to spend money on health insurance.

Our Hatha and Asthanga Yoga classes are rigorous and therefore not advisable for pregnant women.

No, you don’t need to bring your own yoga mat. We provide yoga mats to all our students. However, if you’re attached to your own yoga mat, you’re more than welcome to carry it with you.
